Members of the Boston Society of Film Critics (BSFC) will gather on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, to vote for their annual year’s best in movies. The group will deliberate over winners in 16 categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Animated Film, and Best Documentary.
Heading toward the Oscars, film critics groups play a vital role during awards season, helping to steer Academy voters and moviegoers toward must-see titles and boosting hidden gems.
The BSFC is historically one of the first groups to vote.
