The Boston Society of Film Critics (BSFC), a group of 26 journalists and critics shaping the film industry in Boston and beyond, will cast votes for their 45th annual awards on Sunday, December 8.

Categories include Original Score, Editing, Cinematography, Animated Feature, Documentary, New Filmmaker, Original Screenplay, Adapted Screenplay, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Best Actor, Ensemble Cast, Director, Best Film, and Best Non-English Language Film.

Winners will be announced on the BSFC’s social media platforms.

Heading toward the Oscars, which will be handed out March 2, 2025, film critics groups play a vital role during awards season, helping to steer Academy voters and moviegoers toward must-see titles and boosting hidden gems.

The BSFC is historically one of the first groups to vote.
